What is AI recruiting?
Definition
AI recruiting is the use of artificial intelligence to support the hiring process, from preparing job descriptions and screening applications to assessing candidates and summarizing evidence, so recruiters spend less time on repetitive work and more on decisions.
How it works
AI is applied to specific, bounded tasks inside a hiring workflow: parsing CVs into structured profiles, generating interview and assessment questions from a job description, transcribing and scoring responses, summarizing results, and answering recruiters' questions about candidates. Each output feeds a pipeline in which people review the evidence and make the decisions.
Why it matters
Hiring teams often handle more applications than they can review carefully. Used well, AI recruiting makes the early stages faster and more consistent, so every candidate for a role is evaluated with the same method and the team's time goes to the candidates and decisions that need judgment.
Example
A team hiring customer support agents receives several hundred applications. AI parses each CV into a structured profile, generates role-specific questions from the job description and scores a structured assessment. Recruiters then review a shortlist in which every candidate carries comparable, explained results.
AuraSync's approach
AuraSync applies AI across its ATS and Assessment module: resume parsing and drafting, job-description-driven question generation, assessment scoring, integrity flags and AskAura, its AI hiring assistant. All of it is decision support. A person at the hiring organization reviews the results and decides.
Limitations
AI systems can reproduce patterns in the data or methods they rely on, and their outputs can be wrong. Candidates should be told when AI is used, be able to ask for human review, and employers remain responsible for complying with the employment law that applies to them.
