What is talent intelligence?

Definition

Talent intelligence is the use of data and AI to understand the skills, potential and fit of people, both candidates and current employees, so organizations can make better-informed hiring, development and workforce decisions.

How it works

Talent intelligence combines evidence about people, such as applications, assessment results and role requirements, and sometimes external data such as labor-market benchmarks, into a view that can be compared across a team, a role or an organization.

Why it matters

Hiring, development and promotion decisions are often made with different information in different tools. A shared, evidence-based view helps organizations see where a team's strengths and gaps are, and make people decisions consistently over time rather than case by case.

Example

A manager planning a new team reviews role-fit and collaboration indicators for existing team members and shortlisted candidates, to see which strengths the team already has and which the next hire should bring.

AuraSync's approach

AuraSync applies the same personality intelligence it uses in hiring to team and talent management: role fit, development, promotion readiness and team composition. Where enabled, the ATS also supports market benchmarking for roles.

Limitations

Talent intelligence is only as reliable as the data behind it, and applying it to current employees raises questions of transparency and consent that organizations need to address. It should inform, not replace, the judgment of managers.
